My own venture · Brand system and content
Mango Salad
A creative media brand and publishing system that spotlights undiscovered artists.

How the publishing system works
Artists and the community send in submissions and prompts. These feed modules: magazine, TV episodes, social drops and an artist directory. Work moves through submit, curate and drop, then the community reacts, shares and remixes.
The project
Mango Salad is a creative media brand that spotlights undiscovered artists. I designed it as a repeatable publishing system rather than a single page: curated social posts, seasonal magazine issues and longform “TV” episodes. Contributors can plug in, and audiences can tune in.
The objective
Give artists a recognisable home and a system to belong to without being boxed in, and make new issues and episodes straightforward to produce without losing a distinct identity.
My role
Founder and creative director: brand, art direction, content structure and production.
Approach
The branding is deliberately fluid. Logos morph to suit each theme while the system stays recognisable. Content follows the rhythm of real publishing, with recurring issues and scheduled drops, and each issue carries its own flavour.
Output
- Yearly magazine cover
- TV episode intro animation
- Content platform layout and publishing flow
- Social presence: @mmmmmsalad
Context
A self-initiated project and my own venture, not client work.
What it shows
Creative direction that holds across print, motion and social. Building a brand as a system rather than a logo. Producing content on a consistent rhythm. These are the same skills a brand needs for a campaign that runs across channels.
